G7 Cybersecurity Working Group Statement on preparing for a post-quantum cryptography migration
Publié le Monday 1 June 2026
Within the Cybersecurity Working Group, ANSSI commends the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) for leading, during its 2025 Presidency, the negotiation and adoption of the statement on preparing on migration to post-quantum cryptography. This document helps structure a G7 coordinated approach to the post-quantum transition by developing practical recommendations that organisations can implement within their operational environments and constraints, without replacing the regulatory requirements or guidance issued by their national authorities.
In light of the threats that future quantum computers could pose to current cryptographic mechanisms, the G7 cybersecurity agencies and centres offer a shared vision to support organisations in anticipating and planning their migration. The document notably addresses governance, the identification of cryptographic use cases, risk management, cryptographic agility, and the conduct of transformation projects.
This publication is primarily intended for technical management teams within medium to large organisations.
